BCBE Online Privacy Policy
Remote Email Access

Faculty and staff can use Mail2Web to check your BCBE email when away from your school or office workstation.  When checking email through this service, you will only have access to new email that has NOT been downloaded to your workstation.  Once accessed from your main workstation, the emails are downloaded to that computer and are no longer available through Mail2Web.

Mail2Web is not intended to be a replacement for using Outlook from your teacher workstation.  It is for occasional use to access your email account when away from your school.

To check your BCBE e-mail remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Go to http://www.mail2web.com/ 
  2. Enter your full email address and password in the form.  Use the same password you use to log in to your workstation.
  3. Click the “Check Mail” button.
  4. Any new messages you have will be displayed.
  5. Click on a subject line of a message to read that message (it will open in its own window, in which you may read it, reply to it, or forward it).
  6. Click the “New Message” link to create a new email message. 
  7. To delete a message, check the box to the left of the message and then click “Delete Selected”.
  8. Click the “Logoff” link when you are finished checking your mail.

Note that checking your mail remotely does not remove the message from the mail server: When you get to your regular computer and check your mail, you will download the messages you viewed using the mail2web site, as normal. However, the only way you can have a record of the e-mails that you have sent using the mail2web site is to send a copy to yourself when you’re sending a message to someone.
